Terms of use and risks related to the use of the WARP "Smart Contract Ecosystem"

WARP will not be responsible or be obligated to provide support for any losses, damages, or claims arising from events falling within the scope of the following six categories:

1. Mistakes made by the user of any cryptocurrency-related software or service, e.g., forgotten passwords, payments sent to wrong coin addresses, gas fees, unsupported wallets, or other user-caused mistakes.

Software problems of the WARP "Smart Contract Ecosystem” and/or any cryptocurrency-related software or service, e.g., corrupted WARP "Smart Contract Ecosystem" files or databases, incorrectly constructed transactions, unsafe cryptographic libraries, malware affecting the WARP "Smart Contract Ecosystem" and/or any cryptocurrency-related software or service.
   
   
3. Technical failures in the hardware of the user of any cryptocurrency-related software or service, e.g., data loss due to a faulty or damaged hardware device or a user’s computer.
   
   
4. Security problems experienced by the user of any cryptocurrency-related software or service, e.g., unauthorized access to users' WARP "Smart Contract Ecosystem" and/or accounts, commonly referred to as “hacked wallets.”
   
   
5. Actions or inactions of third parties and/or events experienced by third parties, e.g., bankruptcy of service providers, information security attacks on service providers, and fraud conducted by third parties.
   
   
6. The usage of any kind of Smart Contract that operates a frontrunning, arbitrage, or automatic purchasing utility to buy, sell, or stake WARP tokens. The usage of such Smart Contracts will be subject to potential removal from the WARP “Smart Contract Ecosystem” including the loss of ability to trade or transfer WARP.

2. Trading and Investment risks

There is considerable exposure to risk in any crypto-currency exchange transaction. Any transaction involving currencies involves risks including, but not limited to, the potential for changing economic conditions that may substantially and/or suddenly affect the price or liquidity of a currency. Investments in crypto-currency exchange speculation may also be susceptible to sharp rises and falls as the relevant market values fluctuate. It is for this reason that when speculating in such markets it is advisable to use only risk capital. In short, “Only invest what you can afford to lose.”

3. Electronic Trading Risks

Before you engage in transactions using an electronic system, you should carefully review the rules and regulations of the exchanges or platforms offering the system and/or listing the instruments you intend to trade. Online trading has inherent risk due to system response and access times that may vary due to market conditions, system performance, and other factors. You should understand these and additional risks before trading, as you are assuming all of the risks in using these systems.

4. Compliance with tax obligations

The users of the WARP "Smart Contract Ecosystem" are solely responsible for determining what, if any, taxes apply to their crypto-currency transactions. The owners of, or contributors to, the WARP "Smart Contract Ecosystem" are NOT responsible for determining the taxes that apply to any and all cryptocurrency transactions. You are solely responsible for the evaluation, submitting, and reporting of any buys, sells, gains, losses, dividends, distributions, airdrops, etc. that you may encounter when interacting with the WARP “Smart Contract Ecosystem.” If you are in a region that restricts the buying, selling, or trading of cryptocurrencies and you use bypass software such as VPNs to access the WARP website, WARP is not responsible for you violating your local, state or federal laws.

5. No warranties

The WARP website and the WARP "Smart Contract Ecosystem" is provided on an "as is" basis without any warranties of any kind regarding any content, data, materials and/or services provided.

Online Harassment & Safe Interaction Policy

WARP is building an online decentralized gaming service that allows users to name their own starships and interact with other users through the web. In the event that the WARP team discerns any starship name that violates its policies, including names that use derogatory or harassment language, the WARP team will make a best-effort to contact the owner of the starship to change the name. In the event the name is not changed within 48 hours, the WARP team, at its sole discretion, may rename or revoke access to that starship. 

If you name a starship or otherwise interact with the WARP ecosystem in a way that is intended to cause harm, harassment, target a user or individual, or otherwise spread misinformation, FUD, or promote products or services that are outside of the WARP ecosystem, you recognize that you carry the sole responsibility for any actions taken against you as a result of your ship name. When you name your starship using our Web App, you agree to the terms of our harassment and safe interaction policy, including any ship and access removal penalties that you may accur.

TL;DR - play nice with your ship names or you may lose your ships.
